MONÃ PADMA TSO

P

b. 2000 - Capão, Brazil

Born in 2000 in Capão, a small village in the Chapada Diamantina National Park, Padma Tso grew up surrounded by conversations about spiritualism. She eventually moved to the UK, completing a Foundation Diploma at Leeds Arts University followed by a degree in Fine Art with Contemporary Culture at the University of Leeds. During this time, she founded the art collective Shapes & Things, which has since collaborated with hundreds of international artists across diverse disciplines and backgrounds.

She later undertook postgraduate studies at UCL, training to become a secondary art teacher. As a multidisciplinary artist, her personal practice explores themes of memory, childhood, and dreams, drawing on collections of personal recollections and ancient sculptural artefacts that she brings to life through print and writing.

Padma Tso currently lives and works between Brazil and the UK.
